What to do with 24 hours in Detroit

One city that needs to be on your bucket list this summer is Detroit, Michigan. While it might be overlooked by some, this hidden gem of a city will give you the big city bustle with a small town feel. During the summer months, it is the perfect weekend getaway. If you are looking for something to do while you are there you are in luck! Below is a full day itinerary planned just for you!
Start your day off with grabbing brunch at the Dime Store. This place is a delicious little eatery located right in the heart of Detroit. Get here early and put your name down because this place gets busy fast.
Once you finish eating, take a Bird/Spin and ride around Campus Martius Park and the Riverfront Walk! On your ride you will be able to see monuments such as the Spirit of Detroit, Joe Louis Fist Statue, or the Gateway to Freedom Statue. While riding up and down the riverwalk you will also be able to see Canada and the Ambassador Bridge (great for pictures).
Once you're finished take the Bird/Spin over to Sweetwater Tavern and get some wings for lunch. This place hands down has the best wings in the city.
After lunch, grab an Uber/Q-line ride up to the Midtown area to do some shopping on Canfield street. While you’re there don’t forget to check out the historic road (between 2nd and 3rd). This cobble-stone street will show you some extremely breathtaking early 20th century Victorian/Tudor homes.
Midtown Detroit also has a large selection of restaurants to choose from for dinner. If you are looking for a cheaper place to finish the night off grab a beer and food at the Jolly Pumpkin. This place is a small pizziara joint with a wide selection of beers on tap.
